Dragon Skin 2024
Dragon Skin is the premier Venturer competition camp for Venturer Scouts and is held in New South Wales. More than 1,000 Venturers, Girl Guides, school students and Australian Defence Force Cadets vie for top points by undertaking a series of activities staged throughout a State Forest over the Easter four-day long weekend.
Canterbury Vale District Venturers were busy during late February and March as they honed their Scouting skills, ready to take on their peers. Participants have hailed from New Zealand and most States and Territories of Australia to compete for the coveted top award.
Did it all pay off in 2024? Yes - Canterbury Vale District Venturers took out 5th place in the 150-team competition. Last year, another Canterbury Vale District Venturer Team took out 8th place. The training paid off.
